Chicago Marathon Charity Program

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon hosts thousands of runners who choose to make their Chicago Marathon experience more meaningful by running on behalf of a charity. These runners begin the training season with goals for personal bests in their marathon time as well as in fundraising dollars. With every step you take and every dollar you raise, you can help organizations doing important work in our communities, and touch the lives of those in need. In 2014, over 10,000 charity runners participated in the Chicago Marathon on behalf of more than 190 local, national and global causes.

Director of Client Relations, Lisa Ward, is joining Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago’s Team Run for Kids’ Sake. Running for the team means Lisa is directly making an impact on a child’s life in the Chicago area. Lisa is running her first marathon at the $1,500 fundraising level. The money raised help benefit the youth in the BBBS program.

Lisa is an avid runner completing 25 ½ marathons, 9 15ks, 4 Ragnar Relays, and various other running events since 2004 after her ACL replacement. As the adopted parent of two “at-risk” children, she is proud to be selected as a Team Run 4 Kids Sale member.
